Yesterday a link to “What Children Actually Want From Picture Books” showed up in my social media feed.
Written by children’s librarian Rachel Bachman, it is a clear, useful, and intelligent discussion of what kids want from picture books and the gap between what they want and what a lot of adults buying books for them want.
Good stuff. Highly recommended.
